Mark Philippoussis Cup

Mark Philippoussis supports the Hellenic Australian Tennis Championships. Mark has agreed to lend his name to the event with participants in the Men’s Singles Championship competing for the Mark Philippoussis Cup. Mark and his management company IMG have granted us the rights to use Mark's name in the promotion and the marketing of the Hellenic Australian Tennis Championships.

By supporting the Hellenic Tennis Championships I hope to encourage talented Greek Australians playing for the “Mark Philippoussis Cup" to reach their potential and to showcase their talents to the sporting world. I commend the Hellenic Tennis Association for organising the Hellenic Tennis Championships. It’s a great initiative to promote the game of tennis to the Greek community in Australia. By holding the tennis event it is an opportunity to bring together Greeks from all over Australia.

I applaud the endeavours of the HTA in the creation of this series of tournaments. Tennis is a wonderful game, which can be played for life. The relationships and friendships one develops through tennis ensures a common bond which continues both on and off the court. The initiative of the HTA to approach Mark Philippoussis to secure his support will go a long way to ensure the success of the event. It also indicates that no matter what standard of tennis one is at, those in the tennis community love the game and will support each other. I wish the HTA enormous success.
